Kay Jewelers - Sterling Incorporated Kay Jewelers destroyed our wedding band Humble Texas
Beware of this company. My husband and I took his wedding band into the Kay Jewelers inside Deerbrook Mall in Humble,TX for a repair. My husband is a mechanic and his wedding band (a Harley Davidson ring) got crushed on his finger and had to be cut off. The bottom of the band was cut in the center to allow his finger to be removed from the band. We took this ring into Kay's where we we told "no problem" on the repair...
About one week later they called to give us a quote to repair and the quote was $240.00. We agreed to the repair. One week later we went to get the ring and it looked great... At first. My husband wore the ring for a few days and kept complaining that the ring was "scratching" his finger. We too it back to Kay's and they agreed that something was wrong and sent the ring back out for a repair. About a week later the ring came back and when we went to pick it up we noticed that the Harley Emblem had been halway removed off the top of the ring....
We sent the ring back to the jeweler... ( we later found out the ring was being sent across the street to their sister store JARROD'S ). Two weeks later we had not gotten any word bacl on our ring and started calling the store.. We were informed that a "harley" emblem had been ordered and it would be about another week before they could get it back.
One week went by and still nothing... We called Kays and the manager Lee came to the phone and informed my husband that they were not going to be able to repair the ring because they could only get the emblem from Harley and Harley was not an approved vendor for Kays... Needless to say we were a bit upset. We were offered a $500.00 STORE CREDIT and they would dispose OF MY HUSBANDS WEDDING BAND...
Now way was our response... The $500.00 value was deternined by a girl who looked maybe 18. The ring itself had a higher value and then add the fact that we had already paid another $240.00 for the first Faulty repair. WE WANTED OUR RING BACK. We were than told that we could take the ring and the $240.00 but we had to sign a waiver saying we wouldn't sue... Still no deal.. We told them that they needed to return the ring, the $240.00 and [ay to have the ring repaired by a jewelers who could order "harley" emblems..
We were referred to a customer service phone bank and got absolutly no where with them. We have made numerous calls to the District manger over the past 3 weeks all of which have been left unreturned.. We still have no ring. no repair and no refund.
DO NOT GO TO KAY'S OR JARROD'S. They will tkae your money and destroy your items and then try to fill your head with every excuse in the book. I WANT OUR RING BACK.
