My daughters boyfriend wanted to buy an engagement ring !! I went along for advice. The salesperson was very pushy and prices were higher than most other places for comparable rings. When he told her that was more than he wanted to spend, she went into the fabulous financing available. We decided to leave. The next day, his mother called wondering if he was going to propose....surprise, surprise. The salesperson couldn't reach him, so they called his mother and told her about the fabulous financing. He didn't answer the phone, because he didn't want to talk to them. Thanks for ruining the surprise, Kay. We have a more accurate tagline than "Every kiss begins with Kay", but I can't publish it here.
