Kelly Murphy Krave Rio, Felons Operating in a Casino Las Vegas, Nevada

What could the Rio All-Suite Hotel andCasino (operating under the Harrah's corporate umbrella) be thinking by letting a felon like Kelly Murphy, a convict, operate inside and on its premises? Just when you think you've seen it all. How does this happen? Kelly Murphy has a U.S. District Court felony conviction on a bank fraud charge, which he went to prison for, for 16 months plus a five-year supervised probation, and he's gotten Rio to partner with him on this Krave at the Rio LGBT club operation. By the way Murphy not only went to prison, but he was required to pay restitution as a result of his conviction. Except he didn't. At least not all of it. He still owes some $75,600 in restitution. I guess the laws in Las Vegas, and the casinos themselves, that prevent felons from operating in a casino, don't apply to Kelly Murphy.

And the kicker is that he's getting help from I'll do anything to make money at any cost attorney
Robert E. Atkinson. With him, I suppose all things are possible. And another little FYI Atkinson has an outstanding federal tax lien that was levied on him by the IRS in Washington, DC for more than
$45,000. You just know that if you or I were facing all this, we'd be doing it inside a 6x8-foot prison cell.

Bottom line is, how does Kelly Murphy keep getting away with the kinds of things that would put the rest of us behind bars if we were so similarly stupid?
