Ken Vigil - Pepboys auto The Pep Boys Manny Moe & Jack #1406 Intimidation, Intent, With Malice of Forethought to Vistimize me as a customer. Riverside, California

If you read my report on David #3862 of Scher Tire, Inc., you know how all this trouble started. When I finally got my car back from Scher Tire, Inc., I brought my car around the corner to Pep Boys. I spoke with Vincent V. Wright, a young employee, and was pretty angry about Scher and told Vinnie all about it. I told him I wanted an honest job done for honest money. Of course, I told him I am in my 60's and on a limited income, so I was hoping the brake job wouldn't cost too much. Well, a while later Vincent called me and explained that the job would cost much more money because the wheel cylinders needed for my Toyota cost much more, AND, they didn't know if the parts would be in by Saturday and wanted to keep my car until Monday. Why is it that these shady auto repair shops always wait until you car is completely apart to demand more money. I think it gives shady managers a feeling of power. I could hear Ken Vigil telling Vincent, his young employee what to say, and when I wasn't sure about letting them keep my car with them, I was given the "we don't want you to worry about your car"..."we think there is a damaged brake line". For some reason, I didn't trust the owner telling the kid what to say, but I really needed my car brakes fixed and I had doctor appointments to keep.  I said ok. On Monday, November 5, 2009 I received a call from Pep Boys to pickup my car. It cost $387.07 which bill consisted of $112.53 for parts and $264.70 for labor. I won't contest the bill, I believe the total is in the proper range for brake jobs, but the attitude and vengeful actions by Ken Vigil will shock you. Why didn't Ken Vigil himself get on the phone with me, instead of forcing Vincent to talk and I could hear everything Ken Vigil was telling him, so I didn't want the kid to get in trouble.

After I parked my car at my home, I went back to my car about 1 hour later so I could go do some shopping (I had exactly $100 in my account for food.), the car wouldn't start. I called Ken Vigil and told him my car wouldn't start. He said in a whiny sounding and sarcastic voice, and I could see him smirking in my mind: "Gee, I don't have anyone here to send there."  I called him back and asked him if he spoke with other auto part shops", he said: "Yes, we often do." I knew then that he had communicated with David #3682 from Scher. I called him back one more time and told him again that something was wrong with my car, when I turned the ignition there was absolutely no sound at all and the car wouldn't start. I asked him what should I do? Laughing, he said: "Well, I guess you better start knocking on doors!". Ken Vigil definitely loved tormenting me on the phone. He was a typical bully, you know the type, so insecure that he picks on anyone weaker than he is, especially women. His attitude was completely vengeful, and, I believe strongly that he doesn't like anyone who is more intelligent than he, especially a woman!

I had to call my car insurance company's emergency road service and when the man came, he attached jumper cables and all of a sudden my car alarm started blinking, lights on and off. The road service man asked me if my car alarm had ever done that before. I told him no. He told me someone messed with my car alarm so that it was now on automatic kill. I knew Ken Vigil messed up my car alarm. Remember I had $100 left --- well, it cost me $95.00 to have the car alarm uninstalled, so I was left with $5.00 for food for the entire month. I had to get it fixed because I had a doctor's appointment later on that week. What is happening today with people. I had to give up income with regard to President Obama's stimulus, and my rent recently went up about $40.00, and that's hard enough, but when Ken Vigil damaged my car alarm, he was going over and above in his vengence. And I didn't do anything or say anything derogatory to him or his employee Vincent. He had no right to damage my car alarm, I had done nothing against him at all, so his nasty handiwork was unjustified. In my opinion, David #3682 of Scher Tire, and Ken Vigil of Pep Boys #1406 are both a disgrace to the human race, the "Adult Male population", and the entire working profession. These 2 men are an extension of their parent corporations and supposedly represent the working attitudes and responsibilities of the parent corporations. What a rotten thing to do to a customer.
