On 2/24/08, I ordered from his informercial, was supposed to get 3 books for $19.90 (amt includes shipping).
My charge card was carged $19.90 on 2/24. So far, so good.
But... today... 40 days later, I finally rec'd a package. It's not 3 books, it's only 2. And the 2nd book is an outdated edition of his More Nature Cures book.
Enclosed with the books is a sheet that says, among other things "ALL YOURS 100% FREE Complete 1 Month access to www.naturalcures.com (a $9.95 value FREE) plus A Natural Cures Newsletter (a $9.95 value FREE). "We've included a FREE 30 DAY MEMBERSHIP to www.naturalcures.com and the Natural Cures Monthly Newsletter. "Your FREE 30-Day Trial Started the Day of Your Order. " *After the 30 day FREE trial we will charge your credit card for $9.95/month for your subscription to the website and the newsletter. If you would like to cancel your membership to the website and newsletter please call Customer Service at the number below 1-800-326-0598"
Then I checked my credit card statement again. They've ALREADY charged me $9.95 for the newsletter on 3/24/08!!
I didn't order the newsletter! I didn't authorize the charge!!
So I call the 800# and guess what, all you get is a recording and put on hold with crummy music FOREVER and no one ever comes to the phone so I can complain/cancel the newsletter!
Obviously this is a great scam for fools like me who buy stuff on infomercials. They ship the book well after the "30 days" free trial which "started on the day I ordered", then they charge your credit card for the $9.95 and also never have anyone answer their customer service line when you call to complain/cancel the newsletter!
So as of today, I've written my charge card company that the $9.95 is unauthorized and given them all this info. I don't expect I'll EVER get an answer at the 800# so I will probably report my charge card stolen in a few days in order to get a new card so I can rid myself of this SCAM OUTFIT.
I've heard Kevin Trudeau started out his young life in prison. That's where he should be now!
Watch out, warn your friends. Don't be a fool like me, don't buy from this shyster!
