Kids.com, L. Bagwell, Steve Anthony Child Modeling Scam Lincolnwood Illinois

We met with Steve Anthony who was a representative of Kids.com. He told use how they act as an agent for children by dealing with businesses looking for children to photographed for print ads, magazines, TV and movies. For a fee of $600 they would put my daughter's photo up on their website. Because they are known in the industry, someone wanting a child for modeling would look at their client base and negotiate with Kids.com for work. Anthony stated they have had several clients who were very successful and could earn $1,500 a job and residuals every time the picture was reused.

We signed up my daughter and son (for an addition $100 fee). We then had professional photos taken of each child with a $20 sitting fee per child. The photos had to be taken every 6 months so the website could be updated. We had to contact Kids.com every time the photos were taken to insist the new photos be used. On one occasion they claimed the pictures were never received from the photographer.

We are now 2 years into a 5 year contract. I've attempted to contact Kids.com but all phone lines have been disconnected. Their website (facestoremember.com) is also no longer in service.
