After getting a signed contract fr them w/ all the details arrranged/agreed on and giving them a deposit they have the nerve to call 2 months before the event to ask for more money, significantly more. We reminded them of the contract they had signed and we had put a deposit on; there was no acknowledgement of responsibility.
When we refused their blackmail tactics their last communication to us stated that they would not be able to provide any of the services contracted for on the date agreed apon. All this via EMail since they refused to talk to us in person.
There is not a rating low enough for these crooks!!! Do not, I repeat DO NOT have anything to do with Kim and Ashlee's Cakes & Cookies. Website: www.kimandashlee.com There is absolutely nothing honest or honourable about them.DO NOT EVER DEAL HERE!!!"

Another thing that shows how untrustworthy this crew is, check out how many times they have changed their name. They are now trying to go as Sweet Ambroisa Bakeshoppe and Ill bet that is to avoid all the past customers who they ripped off. I am sure this is their way of trying to avoid all the negative comments about them on the internet as well, hoping they will not show
up on Google. Heres the truth. Click the links below, or search yourself on Google. There you will read that James Mitchell, Kimberly Flichel, or Kim Flichel, and Ashlee Mitchell have destroyed so many family or ceremonial moments its disgusting. No apologies ever!! They keep the money and hide from customers. If you need a wedding cake in Regina, or any kind of baked good, please go elsewhere. They need to be told its time to stop changing names, or addresses, and shut their doors! They are a joke of a business and enough is enough.

From the bride

I directed them to talk to my Father, Doug. He was in charge of the money, he was paying for the cake. It was two months before the wedding and I had a million things to deal with, so I needed to delegate where possible.
Also, above they mentioned they would give us our deposit back. Well I have contacted them on numerous occasions since and they have NOT given us our deposit. They do not answer emails or phone.
This is not harassment or slander. It is the truth, plain and simple. I have also contacted a lawyer who says I do have a case should I wish to pursue it. All I want is my deposit back, which is what I was promised from the beginning.

Proof of False Accusations

We sent the price guidelines to all of our brides/grooms. You are the only ones who have disagreed with this policy. Prices in ingredients have risen drastically in the past couple of years. You had not given us your final flavors yet and we gave everyone the option to keep their basic price the same but we also need to recover the cost of the more expensive flavors to use. You had the option of your price not being any higher, and we honored our price guarantee to you with the decorating because the same cake ordered now would be over $600.00.(with the basic cake flavors) I do not in any way think it unreasonable to recoup the cost of ingredients used and this is not personal in any way. You have refused to sign our new policy agreement and we will not make a cake for anyone who does not sign it. I do not think it is unreasonable for you to expect that in a two year period we have not updated our policies and that they would not apply to you. We expect our clients to be aware and adhere to our new policies which are in the best interest of everyone. Our contract is with Janelle and not her father. At this time, I feel it would serve the best interest of us both that you find someone else to make your cake. Your credit will be mailed at our earliest convenience. Thank you.

False Accusations and Slander
AUTHOR: Kimberly Flichel - (Canada)

We sent the bride an email requesting her to sign a new policy guide as our policies had changed in the two year period. We emphasized that this in no way would affect her wedding price. She refused to sign the contract. We have retained all documentation regarding this.
We sent out a flavor guide and price list to all of our brides listing our new flavors and prices of our premium and gourmet choices. We left our three most popular flavors with no price increase. It is not unreasonable to expect ingredient prices to rise in a two year period. At most, it would only increase the price per servings a few cents or not at all if the basic flavors were chosen. The bride refused to comply with this list. At this point, she said she would no longer communicate with us and all correspondence would be directed to her father, Doug.
After careful consideration, we felt it best to return the bride's deposit and terminate our business with her. Her refusal to sign the new policy agreement was our main consideration. We felt it better to end it now as the situation was becoming volatile and at this point there was still time for the bride to employ another vendor to make her cake.
We have all documentation and emails retained and will gladly provide them to anyone who would like to see. We are also considering filing charges for false accusations and slander against our public business name. We have also contacted the local police department and have been advised that harrassment charges are applicable.
