Like my coworker said, "This place is for the birds". First, this center had ants crawling everywhere and did the center director call the exterminator? Maybe two weeks after my co-teacher and I reported it for the fourth time. Second, the children are always out of ratio because they either pull kids out or put kids in. Third, parents are paying too much money for dumb classes that does not exist. Phonics-never seen that program in action. Math-if you count one set of 2 mats for 12 children. Music- Children do not learn from instruments, the assistant director just played music from a boombox and the children had a 5-10 minute jam session before heading back to class. Circle time- Kids don't learn anything because the corporation does not use age appropriate development books/activities/supplies. Fourth, the corporation only cares about the money. Employees and children alike are just numbers. The two's classroom (where I was stationed at) had a high turnover rate because the teachers were not allowed to use any type of discipline such as using the thinking chair (another word for age appropriate time out), not telling the kids that they were being mean or even taking time away from what they really like to play. I did not enjoy my time at this place. Parents and job hunters please stay away from Kindercare. You are wasting valuable time and money having anything to do with this awful corporation.
