this all started when I had to move my deceased brothers stuff from california to denver. started calling around got this email frin Kings
(We can have you moved for $1050 full service, NO Weigh restriction, no hidden fees)
I just tried calling you to review this promotion, but I reached your voice mail. Please note that we are offering a blowout promotion right now, and that Colorado shipments are significantly reduced right now because we have recently experienced a surge in the volume of shipments headed to this region. This is among very high traffic delivery states at the time. Kings Van Lines currently has a blowout discount for any move to Colorado so that shippers will be encouraged to make an early reservation. I also noticed that your move date is not too far away, and the rates are extremely low right now. Please take a look at the proposal below and let us know if you're interested. This is a limited time offer. Please also be advised that this is based on the information you provided on your request. Certain details are still necessary to confirm this quote. Certain restrictions apply.
I thought what a great deal!so I called her to set this up.well the offer I was told that the promotionaloffer DID NOT APPLY and this should have been a red flag but the price of 1489.00still sounded good so I said ok

well the day of the move came and they came and packed the truck aftend they said that they would store it for 1 month free. r they got ot packed the price balloned to 3,000 dollars they wanted half down and half when the shipmwnt got to denver. and they said that they would store it for 1 month I did tale them up on that I also told them that I would be needing the stuff on the 5th of april. and I was told to call a few days before I needed it so I called about april first, to get this thing going. well I was told that I had to fill out paperwork wich I did and sent it back in to find it rejected. so I resent it in and it went through. I aclled in to see when it was supposed to be shipped and they could not give adate. si I called in the next day and was rudely told they did not know when it was supposed to be shipped. I called in thee third day and was told rather rudely tis is the same thing that I told you yesterday and she hung up on me! so I callde the next day and was told either wendsday or thursday. well finally got a date and recieved this letter:
This is a courtesy notice to confirm that your shipment K351205 has cleared departure from CA as of today, 4/9/14. It is currently in transit to your destination. There may be stops along the way. Your designated driver will contact you the day prior to arrival.
Please note that an open balance of $1426.50 is required at the delivery point, prior to unloading. This is payable in the form of Cash or a U.S. Postal Money Order only. No other money order forms will be accepted.
so I did the 1426.50 and as per instructions I did the Postal Money Order and went to my storage aera, and paid the driver. the driver then produced another "signed" paper saying that I still owed 150.00! i thought the balancewas the final amount, and only brought 50.00. Now I did have a neighbor helping me and he had 100.00 on him. even the temps said that that was wwrong as the balance was all that I should have paid! I do not remember even signing that paper and was given NO copy of that paper.
DO NOT USE Kings van lines avoid them like the plague!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
