Company has a online facebook browser game called Battle Pirates!
While it is a free game it does have things that can be purchased to enhance or speed up game play. And while there are always issues with disappearing credits, and what appears to be constant increases in game parameters to get you to spend more, the glitches and errors are overwhelming.
Despite the problems, and now a recent update that with out any warning changed the entire game format and graphics, thus bringing in a ton of new glitches and errors. Fleets duplicated, disappearing and such, I still have (or had) a ship that if it was killed in one fleet was somehow linked to others in other fleets and they would die too even if they were in dock at the base before the update.
I have played since the game started approx a year and half ago, and altho we have reported cheaters and hackers who have fleets over weight, double the number of guns in their base, etc..... they dont get caught or dealt with even if you send in photos. Yet Kixeye's autoban system seems to ban people for reasons unknown.
I convinced one friend to join and play only to be banned by level 7 and in his beginners protection trying to learn how to play, I cant say I blame him for not wanting to play further. Another friend with a lvl 20 base who didnt play much came back on one day to find his banned for cheating, when he had done nothing, Fortunately he didnt have money invested so he just went to some other game.
SO I guess i shouldnt be surprised On May 23rd, 2012, when after a perfect Legit attack on a base, I return later to find my account banned for cheating. And the guy who reported me (I am higher level and get reported weekly) is boasting he had a way to get me banned and did so.
Obviously after spending alot of money and time on this game I am a bit upset. Contacting Kixeye resulted in generic responses, eventually stating they have proof and offer to reset my base/account to the beginning, thus loosing all.
I advised this isnt acceptable and i wanted to see what this proof was or what they thought occurred, especially since I did nothing wrong. If not i requested my money refunded or the account reinstated as it was. This resulted in no response from Kixeye!
Kixeye is quickly getting a reputation as a "Take it and like it" company towards its players/consumers.
