On November 29, 2008 I went into this store to buy doughnuts as I do when I visit my friend in Bloomington, IL. I bought 1 creme filled doughut, 1 red iced ring doughnut and a chocolate milk. When the cashier told me the total of $5.23 i thought that was pretty high for what I bought but did not dispute it since i beleived that he knew what he was doing since he was behind the cash register.

As i was sitting there eating and looking at my receipt and the menu board I told my friend that i thought i was over charged and charged for what I dont know. I did not want to cause any problems while in line and make other people wait. I did not see anyone with a name tag on that stated they were management so i called the 800 number and left my name, number and a short message along with the store i was just at.

I did not hear from anyone at Krispy Kreme so i then got on their website and wrote to them stating that I called and have not heard from them. I finally got a phone call on my answering machine from Fialisa Pickard whom is a representative from Krispy Kreme. I told her what i bought and told her what the receipt read and she told me that I was charged for a smoothie drink, a coffee and of course the chocolate milk which i did buy. She told me that she would call the store and talk to the manager and I would be issued a refund which is what i finally decided that i wanted since no one was doing anything about it.

After waiting for many more weeks I finally reported them to the Better Business Bureau, they contacted me who contacted Fialisa. They sent me a copy of an email that stated that she contacted the manager Joe who agreed to issue me a refund. Last week i received another message on my answer machine stating that i would get a refund in the mail monday, if i did not get it monday then i would get it by the end of this week which is over with. It is now February 7, 2009 and I have gotten nothing in the mail from them and I do not beleive I will.

I beleive the company is stalling me, i beleive they are going to go out of business as other companys have done in this economy. As we are heading into the 3rd month of this problem not being resolved I wrote to the company again and called and left messages to Fialisa Pickard who keeps calling me back appologizing to me for the delay in getting the refund which i do not beleive that they will send me. The Better Business Bureau has stated to me that they do not know why It is taking them so long to issue a refund to me.

I am pretty tired of them lying to me about this and stalling for time. I have decided to take matters in my own hands and tell by getting on this blog and telling everyone about this mismanaged company and this store in Bloomington Illinois. i will keep everyone updated on this until i receive a refund. I do not thing the president of the company or the board of directors knows about this problem I have been having with Krispy Kreme because if they did i think they would fire some people namely Fialisa Pickard and close the store down that over charged me as well.

I dont understand why they would charge me for a smoothie drink or a coffee instead of what i bought which were 2 doughnuts and a milk. If i wanted coffee drinks i would have gone to (((competitor's name redacted))) which is located across the parking lot from this store location. What person like me or anyone else for that matter go into a doughnut shop and not buy doughnuts period. My receipt wants to know. These people of this company are very unprofessional and they do not care about their customers.

I received a phone call finally from the manager at this location. He stated that he might have gotten the wrong address where to send my refund so i gave it to him again and he read it back to me. he said he sent out a refund to me 3 weeks ago. I said to him if he did and the address was wrong it would have either come to me corrected or would have been sent back to him. I am no fool on the postal service. I am expecting a refund in the mail from him this week. if i have not gotten one from him either way i will update this report and then i will report back to the BBB and the corporation its self.

Krispy Kreme Doughnut Corporation still no action taken

still to this date there has been nothing done to correct this problem I had when I was wrongfully charged for items i did not buy. The president of this company seems to have no control over people who own a Krispy Kreme franchise. Thankyou and keep on reading as I will continue to post all the latest updates on this matter until it has been rectified.

Well I got a phone call from Fialisa Pickard of Krispy Kreme Doughnut Corporation on February 10 which was Tuesday stating that the reason that she did not call me back on monday was due to her having jury duty. She seems to have jury duty quite a bit since this has happen to me on November 29, 2008 and if i dont call I get no calls from them. Now dont you think that this company would have some sort of control over this store not taking care of a customer matter. I know if i were the president of this company and a person, wether they owned a franchise or not would have thier operating license taken suspended if they did not take care of this matter. Joe who runs this store is giving the Krispy Kreme Doughnut Corporation a bad image to the consumers. He is a bad image none the less, a no good manager/owner whatever you want to call it. He has done nothing so far in taking care of this matter so the customers think that he is going to close his doors so he does not care about working for this company So far this situation has gotten over 30,000 hits on this site counter of people reading this report. Thankyou.

I have gotten no refund in the mail. They are all liars thru their teeth, others are having problems as well I see. Looks like the company will be going under, stocks worth $1.32 from the Stock Exchange, pityful! Go to Dunkin Donuts, Its worth the trip!
