Show customers why they should trust your business over your competitors...
I don't know how other Kroger stores operate but here in Haltom City they advertise super low prices but when you get to the store the price tag has two prices. A high price, and the low price. But to get the low price you have to have some kind of special card. It says *price with card* and the price with card is always lower than the other price. I guess this is some kind of expensive credit card that Kroger wants you to sign up for so they can make tons of money off the fees. Well, count me out. I'm not signing up for their credit card. I just do my shopping somewhere else.

I have saved so much money using the card. If you have a gas station that uses the card you can save money on gas!! Kroger is the best!

Let me help me you here. ITS NOT A CREDIT CARD. Its a value card. No credit involved. Think of it more like a "prefered customer" card. It costs you NOTHING to sign up. All your really doing is using this card at those stores. Think of it as the supermarket rewarding you for shopping with them. Yes they have two different prices. But if you would like the lower price, just fill out a "prefered customer" card at the register. It normally only takes a min at the most. And normally all they want is a name, address and phone number.

A friend of mine explained what's happening. Kroger isn't making you sign up for an expensive credit card so they can make money off of fees. The card is not a credit card. It's sort of a frequent shopper discount card. It's free to anyone who wants one. You just scan it before you check out and you get the low price. So Haltom City Kroger is NOT a ripoff after all. My mistake.
