L.A. Watersports Sent an unauthorized charge to my GM CreditCard for a cancelled dolphin cruise Orange Beach Alabama

On 9/25/08 while vacationing in Perdido Key, Fl, my party of three made phone reservations for a 5:00 PM dolphin cruise on L.A. Watersports, Orange Beach, AL. I was asked for a credit card number to hold the reservation and informed that my card would NOT be used until we showed up. Something during the day came up making it physically IMPOSSIBLE for us to arrive for the cruise by 5:00 PM so I phoned from a cell phone on the road and cancelled our reservations.

When I received next statement from my GM Mastercard LAW had sent through a charge of $53.90 for the cruise we were unable to make.

I have repeatedly called and left messages, written letters, reported them to BBB and State Attorney General's Office of Alabama and L.A. Watersports refuses to respond in any manner. They are a seasonal business and are closed until March 2009 but they obviously receive phone messages and postal service.

I feel this is a ripoff since I was told on the phone at the time of reservation that my CREDIT CARD WOULD NOT BE USED until we arrived. Therefore this was not an authorized charge and I feel the credit card company should remove this charge from my account.
