LA Weight Loss Centers Refund has been "in the mail" for over a year!!!! local office refuses to give owners information. Total SCAM! Gilbert Arizona

In July of 2003, I was depressed about the weight I had gained and was going to be in a wedding in September of 2003. Once at the center, Gloria (my consulor "really a sales lady who gets paid off comission")explained how the plan could get me down to my goal weight by the wedding.

It all sounded great, until I started asking the health questions. Pregnancy had come up. She originally told me that they are not allowed to guide anyone how was expecting for liablity reasons, but continued to push me to by it "because I didn't know if I was actually pregnant yet and I wouldn't be able to get the "sale price" again. The only way I could the that price was to sign up Right then and There!

Well I bought it. Dumb huh! I went home and talked to my husbad and decided that it wasn't a good decision. I was at their doors at 9:00am the next morning signing a refund request. gloria explained that it will could take up to 90 days.

90 days came and went. I then called and spoke with "Nancy" who was working with the corporate office. My refund was pending... and should be mailed on Friday... yeah right.

Nancy has since passed me off to the regional manager "Patty". Who explained that the company has been sold and it is not the owners responsibility to give me a refund; HOWEVER for "good customer service" they (new company) will issue the refund and then collect it from the previous owners. Heard that before.

I then explained that, that is what Nancy had said to me also and that it was not good enough. I needed to have the corpeorate's number so I can speak to them directly. She refused to give me the contact information. She said that the check would be in the mail the folowing week.

two weeks later I still have not received my refund of $600+.

I have numerous voice mail proving my story and my Credit Card statement.

Some one please help me and stop this company from ripping others!
