I joined LA Weightloss 7/30/12 they closed 10/27/12. I paid $800 for a one year membership and $1,200 for twelve months of diet supplements. I investigated the company after they closed and I realized I had been scammed and found out that this is their practice. They open centers throughout the U.S. stay opened for a year or more then close them up. The membership fee was for individual one on one support two or three times a week. I spoke with the women who worked at the center and found out that it had been opened for 18 months. They received no advance notice of the closing and were told of it at the same time the members were told. They were given no compensation they just lost their jobs. I spoke to the home office in Greensboro NC and was told I would not receive a refund of any portion of my membership. They will be supplying on-line or phone support. I feel foolish being scammed like this and want everyone to know.
