I applied for a job with LABs inc recovery. this is the ad I responded to on craigslist.

Prior experience in Cable TV not necessary or preferred. We will train qualified candidates on the CABLE TV aspect. FIELD EQUIPMENT RECOVERY REPS are EMPLOYEES who are compensated for each recovered cable box and earn on average $500 to $1000 weekly gross plus qualify for an additional volume bonus pay.

THESE REPS ARE REQUIRED TO PHYSICALLY CHECK IN 5 DAYS A WEEK OR 3 DAYS A WEEK (based on residence) BETWEEN 8AM-9AM AT OUR BALTIMORE WDP OFFICE off the 695 Baltimore Beltway in Catonsville. They work their assigned routes Monday thru Friday on a full time schedule that must include mornings and early evening hours plus one weekend day. To be considered, applicants must be available to work during these time frames. NO PART TIME IS AVAILABLE. This job is not suitable as a second job.


Applicants are subject to a 10 year Nationwide FULL BACKGROUND CHECK and strict random DRUG TESTING prior to and during employment. Applicants with felony convictions or criminal misdemeanor convictions involving destruction of property, bodily injury, fraud or theft within the past 10 years will not be considered. I went on the website and filled out the application. Then I received an email from Pat Corning stating that I would receive a phone call about an interview. That was on December 12, 2011. To this date I have not received a phone call. So I went on emailed her and called both numbers listed on the website. And I did not receive an answer. The phone rang and rang then the line started beeping. This is crap. They're a scam.

JA, That is not totally correct.  There are many instants where employees are not called back even after passing the drug and background ground check, for many reasons unrelated to company policy, which could be illegal.  I know you are thinking....prove it.  I am asking you to prove that you call everyone back that pass background and drug test.  That is not true.  The employment is not a scam, this is an legitimate company, but upper managements are a joke.  This company is set up like a slave company, most, if at all of the works are minority and all of corporate employees are white.  There are no minorities in upper management. If you check every city where there is a branch office, then check the local or state EEOC, or Discriminatory investigation agency you will find that there are many cases, that not only have been filed, but settled. No only that, they instruct their employees to manually fill out time cards, with forty hours or less, even after some have worked more than forty hours in that week.  The employment is not a scam, but the way upper management runs the company is a scam. Comcast should run their own investigation on this company.  Comcast is one, if not their largest company they contract for.

Sounds Like You Did Not Pass The Application Process. This person is not telling the whole story here we only call people back if the pass the application. Labs has been in business for more than 35 years we would not have been around that long if we were a scam.
