Have you had your tags stolen?
AUTHOR: Steven - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Friday, August 24, 2012
There have been cases of people having tags stolen from their cars (usually because someone with expired tags took them). The camera's at the toll booth record the tag and then the tag information is used to get an address to send the notices to.
You SHOULD NOT ignore these notices and contact whoever sent you the notice to let them know that your tag was stolen. If you have a police report all the better.
DO NOT just throw these away. They will eventually be sent to your state and you may not be able to renew your drivers license or registration until the fees are settled.
