Lease Financing Group LLC scammed my small business too. The fast talking, high pressure sales person from ICON Payment Solutions pressured a non-authourized person to sign and bind me to a NONCANCELABLE, 60 month, "opressive" lease. LFG claims I will owe them $5,736.70 in exchange for a credit card processing terminal that sales for $350 through the COSTCO merchant services company.

We believe their sales rep. engaged in multiple practices that were unethical and deceptive in order to acquire a signature. He never explained verbally that this was a noncancelable contract. He concealed the written verbage on the top of the page where noncancelable was written -by partially pulling back the overlying pages from the stack. He left items blank that were not filled in until after he left. He chose the title to represent the unautorized person that sgned the lease - representations that are false according to the records of the Arizona Corporation Comission. ICON's sales rep explained to the person that he would complete the lease and get it back to her. He never left us with a copy of the LFG lease. He never sought my approval or signature (owner of the small business) yet claims I am bound to this outrageous contract. We believe there were multiple other verbal and written claims made by phone and by the ICON sales rep in person that are not true, and grounds for this contract to be invalid.

When I learned of this contract I immediately sent LFG & ICON formal letters to release me from this contract. LFG has had years to perfect the scam provisions of this "opressive" lease making it very hard and expensive to fight. This is why we need to coordinate and pool our efforts and resources. I have only just started but my next step is to file complaints against LFG LLC. and ICON with the attorney generals office and BBB in AZ, IL and NY.

The Google search and Ripoff reports on these companies are very informative. They mention the countless complaints against LFG, and some offer solutions. Some suggest closing the bank accounts to stop the withdrawl of money by LFG. I just found out that I have been scammed and am still deciding how best to handle it. Hopefully we can help each other.

Lease Finance Group, LLC

We also were ripped off by LFG along with several companies in our area.  We cancelled our merchant service when we were not seeing the savings that the saleman told us we would.  The salesman was fast talking and told us everything we wanted to hear; we now see he was a very seasoned scam artist.  He even told us there was an $150.00 application fee, but if we made the check out to him he could reduce it to $75.00, we should of backed out right then.  Before signing the lease we asked if we could get out of it and he told us it was pretty easy.  We never saw the NON-CANCELLABLE LEASE statement at the top of the page.  We were also told that he needed to take the lease and it would be mailed to us at a later date.

Before cancelling we paid LHG $1819.87 and they now want an additional $5,879.58.  We returned the credit card machine long ago.

We been summons to appear in civil court in NYC and we live in FL.  This seems like a scare tacket, but we have hired a New York lawyer and plan to contact the Attorney General and the BBB.

Let us know of any updates.

Sharon

LFG let me out of the lease.

LFG agreed to let me out of the lease. Let me tell you what I did and hopefully it can help you too. I utilized multiple tools and I think the combination was helpful. I will list them. I believe the complaints with the attorney generals office and BBB office filed in Chicago, IL. did the most to influence LFG. Additionally, I hired an attorney and was prepared to sue LFG. First I filed complaints with the Attorney Generals office in three states, AZ, IL, & NY. Lisa Madigan's office in IL seemed to help the most. AZ only acknowledged that they received my complaint but did nothing. NY told me they couldn't help me and to hire an attorney or file a complaint with the BBB. I hired an attorney and was fully prepared to sue and spend more than what it would cost to pay the lease. The attny let LFG know we were preparing to sue and LFG agreed to a reduction of the lease amount by about $2,000. (I would not have accepted that proposal.) Then we filed the complaint with the BBB in Chicago IL. I will probalbly never know for sure but it appears that the complaint with the BBB in Chicago seemed to be the biggest single factor influencing LFG. I believe the other things were only contributing factors to help influence LFG. In summary, my advise to you would be to file complaints in IL & NY with the Attny General followed by a complaint with the BBB in Chicago IL.
I also wish to thank LFG for stepping up to the plate and for whatever reason doing what was right - letting me out of this lease. Keep in mind however that the lease was acquired by a second party ICON Payment Solutions through what I believe are dishonest and deceptive practices.
