Pay Telephone outside airport wouldn't accept change.Took a chance with a calling card.Never got any "branding" as to who was intercepting my local toll call(phone# was terminating at office bldg. 60 feet away!).

The number rings 3 times and then there is a double click and then just a hollow sound.I hang up and call the operator of the payphone.
I then proceeded to tell her;that having been cheated in the past,would she please tell me if the phone I was currently using to communicate to her with was registering an incomplete or complete call originating 3 minutes ago.

She said she was incapable of accessing that information.
"Really?That's odd!"I said innocently."Well then would you please tell me if a call has been charged to my calling card."

"What's the number?"she asked.

I read her the card number and she then said that she couldn't access that information either.

"Why not?"I dimly muttered.

"Because that is not our card"

"Well sure it is"I obtusely continued"It says SBC right on the front."

"We are not SBC we are #*&@+%...*^$!>
We are some company that you've never heard of and we charge some of the most obnoxious rates in all of the land and we don't even have to do our own dirty work because we are going to mix it up with all of the legitimate charges on your standard phone bill that hopefully you won't notice but even if you do we'll give you the run-around until the time wasted is quadruple what originally was charged in bogus fees,and that you will finally relent and meekly pay us our ill-gotten gains before checking into a sanitarium for plenty of bedrest and a prescription of Prozak to keep you company'

"I see, and how's Satan and the kids?" I politely inquired. "Quite prosperous"was her sly answer.

"I know it's been a while and I'm not at all sure if I can bend over and get totally f*cked by you like the good old days but luckily I'm wiser now and am actually being proactive and making sure you understand that I never completed a call and that there is nothing to charge me for.

Okay?"I could hear the whine in my voice and knew it would bely my fear but I was powerless to stop it.

Knowing she was in complete control she savored every word as it hissed past her fangs and sealed my fate for eternity;

"I don't have access to that information" Of Course!

Anyway I told her to make sure that her company made a notation that if there was a charge it should be voided since no call was completed and since there was no charge please forget everything they knew about me and I would do the same after updating my tetanus and rabies boosters as a safeguard after being in such close proximity to unadultered evil.

She told me that she wasn't sure what an adult weasel had to do with it but she would relay the message and then she promptly hung up.
Lo and behold a few weeks later I received my phone bill and was not too surprised to find a $21.71 charge to my calling card for a 5 minute call.Zero Plus Dialing on behalf of Legacy LD INTL,inc.I have a funny feeling that the charge is for the phone call I had with her!The Irony is too much to bear so I drive that thought from my head and begin the FCC complaint process where I discover that this company(OCMC,inc) has paid numerous fines from $15,000 to the state of Idaho all the way to $500,000 to the FCC all the while settling out of court and thus never admitting guilt and promising to correct their wicked ways but still continuing along as if 'business as usual' and never learning anything other than these fines are a mere nuisance in comparison to revenue generated by lying,cheating and stealing from innocent victims.

I have found documents from 1994 up to the present detailing their misdeeds and although they have changed the companies name a dozen times the principals remain the same:Joseph A. Pence SS# 340-46-7657 DOB 06/17/54 ;Brad Benge SS# 305-72-6736 DOB 09/26/59 ; Ann C. Bernard SS# 307-74-1304 DOB 11/01/61.

I ask you "Have you no shame?""Has the blood on your hands become so commonplace that you no longer even blink when you violate another human beings trust in you?""Do the words ethics and morals and honesty make your upper lip curl in a derisive snort?""Do you really need another 18kt.

If you are capable of providing the truthful answers to those questions while looking your own Mother(God rest her soul) in the eye then there is no hope for you and only the devil himself will be your consort as you sink into the river of vermin and pestulence you call your life.

But if even a glimmer of remorse is still alive in your hollowed souls and necrosis-laden hearts;

then make amends to those you have wronged before you drown in the cesspool that was once your conscience!
