We purchased over $7,000 worth of items over two months: some sales were good and a great value. Some items were very bad. One load of food we received was over 60% outdated and even included rotten food. They denied our claim for a partial refund because we tossed out the rotten food and they said we had to keep all the items while their dispute process was ongoing (it took one month by the way).

So, if you want to buy from this company, I suggest the following:

1. Expect NO support from their arbitration process. They will not support you. If the seller screws you, you have little recourse. Instead, go to their process and WHEN they screw up or ignore you, hit them as hard as you can by complaining to the BBB, Fair Trade Commission, Paypal, etc.

2. Always ask a question of the auction seller. If you receive no answer, don't buy. Liquidation.com filters out questions that their lawyers deem dangerous, so no answer is a red flag.

3. Low ball your offer to account for risk. The only time we made money off a load was when we won the bid at 8 percent of MSRP.

4. Always realize that MSRP will be 20% higher than actual MSRP.

5. DO NOT buy returned merchandise. It ALWAYS included salvage level items and they can get away with it because of the "AS IS" clause in the sale.

Regardless, liquidation.com is "Buyer Beware". You can lose you shirt by buying this company.

Request to Remove Complaint

AUTHOR: Mike - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, March 31, 2010
I am contacting you to file a formal request to remove this posting on Ripoff Report:

http://www.ripoffreport.com/auction-liquidators/liquidation-com/liquidation-com-liquidation-se-bb2fc.htm.

Liquidation.com has many satisfied buyers and sellers, but we realize that there will be instances where a buyer feels that a transaction in which he or she was involved ended unsatisfactorily.  We take these instances very seriously and thoroughly review each case.  We are working on improving our customer service, which is what the author of the complaint had an issue with.

We are willing to discuss this further with the author of the complaint to try to find a compromise.  In the meantime, we are requesting the complaint be removed.  We want to make Liquidation.com a great place to transact business for both buyers and sellers.

Best regards,

Mike Sasaki
