I got a call from a "unknown/blocked" phone number, which that should have been my first red flag, I didn't answer because I was at work. A lady left a message saying that they were trying to schedule an appointment so a uniformed officer can deliver me a summons. She left a case number and with a phone number 855-674-1293 and said I had a 2 hour window to call back otherwise they would take legal action. I called back and obviously a little scared and not wanting to get into legal problems I decided to give them information. I spoke to a so called case worker which he informed me that if I wanted to stop legal processing and avoid court fees, which would be about 1500.00, he recomnended paying them before processing continued. He said he was with "Lincoln Legal Division". I have been going through so many things and the last thing i wanted was court issues and bigger bills. I work for a bank, so I was able to stop the transaction. I did so much research on them and came up with a few things to help people out there. 1) Blocked number, a collection agency would have no problem disclosing a number 2) If it would have been at the court, they dont set appointments up to visit you, they just do. 3) They are no where to be found online except on scam websites and they are not even on the BBB (better business bureau) 4) After hours or if you call LLDE which is the same as Lincoln Legal Division, you get a girl on an answerng machine that just says "you've reached the corporate office"...uhm of what or where???? 5) the person who answers the phone on the 855-674-1293 number has NO CLUE of whats going on and tries to immedietly get information from you especially your case number. When i asked them questions all they said was "im just the receptionist"....DONT LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU!!!!
