On May 6, 2008 a very nice young man named Mike came to my door selling magazines for a contest he was trying to win. I found this young man to be very sweet and personable. I ordered a magazine subscription and understood that it could take 90 to 120 days for delivery. After the 120 days had passed I wanted to contact LSS, Inc to find out when my magazines would be arriving. Mike was nice enough to hand write the company's phone number on the back of my receipt as there is no contact information printed on the receipt except for an address. I tried calling LSS numerous times. I called at different times thru-out the day and only got an automated message. After leaving messages repeatedly, I came to the conclusion that no one actually works there and they do not believe in returning phone calls. If you try to call after hours you get in touch with an answering service, but they cannot give you any information. When asked how to contact a real live human being at LSS, they are totally clueless. After many weeks and over 50 phone calls and messages being left with no response, I talked to their so called representative. The secret is to call them between 8 am and 8:30 am. The lady I spoke to tried telling me that they had no record of my previous calls and messages. I explained to her that I called off my cell phone and had proof of my claims. She told me there was nothing she could do for 7 to 10 days. I told her that this was ridiculous and that I refuse to do business with a company that is unreachable and very unhelpful when their customers had a problem. After waiting over 2 weeks I tried contacting them again to find out what the next step was. Surprise Surprise ... It took me another 3 weeks to talk to a representative ... and it was the same lady I spoke to before. She was very rude when I again asked for my money back. She told me that I now had to send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org which I did on 10-28-08. Again there was no response whatsoever from LSS. I called again this morning 11-19-08 at 8:19 am and spoke to the same lady and was told they never received anything from me and that it would take ANOTHER 7 to 10 days for them to get my money sent out of the office. (her words) This company is a total ripoff and a complete farce. I am convinced that only 1 person works in their so called office and she is completely worthless. I only hope others read this and learn from my mistakes. I still have no idea when or even if I will get my refund for services not rendered.
