this scam involved a sell of a microwave, a check being sent to a address for item and picking up after check clears.  Started late Nov. 2012 w/ purchase of microwave from Craigslist, no other word from buyer (christopherzr@gamil.com) until a week and half ago and receiving this "OVER PAYMENT" check from same, but NOT. 

The UPS shipping info showed it came from "California Dairies, INC (1206663020), California Dairies, INC., 294 Valley Rd., MIddletown, RI, 02842.  The check was from University of Louisville Tuition, Grawemeyer Hall Room 20,  KY, 40292

In a email  from christopherzr797@gmail.com said a mistake has been made in the check for the microwave, over-payment, but just cash the $1950.00 check made out to my father, owner of the item for sale, and deduct the microwave price plus an extra $50.00 for running around getting the check cashed and sending the over payment, minus $50 for item and $50 for inconvenience ($100 total), $1850.00 via Western Union Wire Gram to "LaToyia Muse" in Sothaven, MS 38672.
