Got a virtual credit card account for our business checking account using the business services department at US Bank. They connected us with Elavon who approved us for the use of running our customers credit cards thru the Virtual Merchant system with Ladco leasing. Per the lease agreement, we cancelled the account in writing to their address in TN, we got confirmation that the account has been closed and that we would not see any additional charges on our account. In December of 2012 we received 4 separate charges they said due to government regulations...the fees were horribly high. We contacted US Bank to have them reverse the charges made in the beginning of this month, January 2013, they transferred us over to the Business Services department who said that they would reverse the charges. That has not happened and it supposed to take an additional 7-10 days which means that it will take them a full month to reverse the charge that occurred on 1/2/2013 that they should never have charged us. On 1/4/2013 we were charged the monthly lease amount from Ladco (according to Ladco they are a 3rd party company not connected to Elavon yet the payoff statment that they faxed to me is an Elavon coversheet) and they said that our "lease" is non-cancellable and we will continue to be charged a monthly fee for an addtional 31 months or we can just pay it off now to close out the lease. I'm not sure they can legally put a company from California in a non-cancellable lease, and I told them that we never had the opportunity to use their costly and confusing system. Ladco said that doesn't matter if you have used the account or not, you are in a non-cancellable lease.
