Lady of America Lady of America - Hollywood, Fl. fraudulent contract alteration, threatening phone calls Hollywood, Florida
The gym was dirty. Classes were cancelled. The toilet seat was cracked and it took over a month to repair.
So, I December, 2012, I wrote a letter cancelling the contract effective January 31, 2013. I sent it well before the 30 days required in the contract.
They sent me a letter saying I could not cancel the contract until February 28. I told them to send me a copy of the contract.
I had mine, and it clearly said the payments were due for 11 months. But in the contract they sent me, someone scribbled over the 11 and put 12. I wrote to them advising them that they had fraudulently altered the contract. They ignored me.
Today they called my place of employment and threatened to take me to collections and add fees to my bill for February 2013. I told the guy what I thought of him and his whole company and hung up. What total jerks.
Never join this gym or anyone associated with Lady of America or National Fitness.
