I bought a used car from Larry Miller at this location when it was first opened under a different moniker. It was a salvage vehicle, which was never disclosed to me as required under Utah law.
I bought a Mitsubishi Galant with all the bells and whistles. I should have listened to the salesman, he wanted me to buy the Plymouth next to it for the same price and seemed troubled that I insisted on the Mitsubishi. I mean I wasn't stupid, the Mitsubishi was more car for the same price!
The car had anti-lock brakes and all wheel drive with automatic power distribution. My wife had her first auto accident in 20 years three days after we bought this car.
When the new plates arrived the dealership was kind enough to install the plates and put the registration papers in a SEALED envelope in the glove box.
Then, when all of the financial loss over-burdened my budget and I got behind in payments they were right on top of repossessing this vehicle. I was wise enough at that point to let them keep it. The repossession led to paper work that opened my eyes to the salvage status--two years later after the statute of limitations had run out on this CRIME in Utah.
(Let me say, as an aside, that the Mitsubishi dealership I went to, for service, is cupable, also. Their service department had the history of the vehicle on their computer and their representative actually had to dance to keep from disclosing the salvage status to me, when it became obvious that I did not know.)
Of course, this was financed through Lary Miller's Prestige Financial Services because no other loan company would have touched this scammy deal without disclosing the facts to me. A worthless extended warranty was thrown in with Larry Miller's Landcar Services company. To confuse matters they kept barraging me with different contracts with different terms, seven of them by my count.
And, to add insult to injury, Larry Miller and co-conspirators wrote off their 'loss' on this vehicle and reported it to the IRS as a 'gain' on my part. Maybe the statute of limitations ran out, but the IRS didn't swallow that BS after seeing my documentation.
Utah is full of sheep and I was fleeced by the most expert wolf among them!
Larry H. Miller is represented by LIARs.
Larry H. Miller perpetrates FRAUD.
Larry H. Miller CHEATed me.
And just for good measure-- He is documented to have assaulted at least one haggler while his basketball team played, so
Larry H. Miller is a BULLY.
No wonder the mailman chokes when it is time to deliver, he knows this guy doesn't deserve any accolades!
Just for the record, this last remark is only my humble opinion.

Presige doesn't sell cars, they FINANCE them. Which means that if you bought a bunk car from someone it's the dealership that sold you the car and is responsible NOT the finance company. They just gave you the money to buy the vehicle that YOU wanted to get. Did you personally have them come out to inspect the vehicle? I don't think so.
You should have checked your loan documents. If indeed you purchased a salvage title when you signed paperwork that stated otherwise then the vehicle would be a full recourse and you could return the vehicle within the first 12 months and not be held responsible.
THAT'S the law. Do your homework instead of just bitching about it. Car salesmen are liers... everywhere, not just at the LHM dealerships. They don't make money unless they sell cars so they are going to tell you just about anything to get you to buy one. You should be smart enough to do your homework before commiting to a legally binding contract.
And last but not least, they only reason that Prestige is the only company that would finance you is because you had shitty credit because your probably don't pay any of your bills and you just sit on your ass complaining how much the world hates you and how unfair everything is. Prestige is a sub-prime lender, a second chance finance company. Which means you had a history of bad credit and you probably couldn't even get financed for a nice new car.
Some advice: Learn to pay your bills and stop complaining about how unfair life is, its never going to get better for you until you do.

There are NUMEROUS complaints on this site about various dealerships on Auto Mall Drive in Sandy, Utah and other locations around the Wasatch Front.

Obviously this thief has no scruples. There is even a ripoffreport about a program to teach you how to be a sleazy salesman....for $500!
I believe the system they use is a variation of the Johnson system. Wear the shopper down. Confuse the shopper with different deals. Say one thing and put another in writing. Bait and switch. Bait and switch. Bait and switch. Sell damaged merchandise as un-damaged goods. RE-write the paperwork numerous times. The shadiness and sleaziness knows no bounds!
Word of mouth and reports, like the ones here, should slowly erode this scumbags customer base; so watch for name changes and 'under new management' claims.

I was suckered and separated from my money. I was a fool to let it happen. I did, however, learn from the experience.
Don't fall for the line this scuzbucket's representatives hand you. Don't let them wear you down. LEARN from my experience.
If they touch you, it is assault.
If they keep you from leaving, it is kidnapping. Note: you may have to be assertive and/or abandon your vehicle. Touching or assaulting them to leave is not an option. Do not stoop to their level. It puts you in the wrong. It also allows mumbo jumbo about 'citizens arrest'.
You gave them your vehicle willingly, it is not theft. This is referred to as conversion. You turn over control of your vehicle for a specific purpose. Your vehicle is used for another purpose, that is conversion. A vehicle cannot be a hostage.
The authorities have a bias for the tax payer, and against a 'transient'. A 'transient' is whomever the tax payer finds objectionable.
If you live in Utah, you are accustomed to this crap. If you just moved to Utah, get use to it. If you are going to a Miller dealership in another state, all I can do is shake my head.
