Laura Patterson Imes Long Yanko and possibly Burton is mentally ill. She has a delusion of being pregnant, usually with twins. She is also cunning and manipulative. I am one of her relatives and I believe she reads these reports. Laura Patterson Long Yanko now resides in Columbus Ohio and is doing the same MO to her new Husband. Claiming to be pregnant with twins, showing someone else's sonograms as her own and still saying her ex husband Mr. Long died in war.



She has gone as far as to produce pictures of someone else's children claiming to be her newborn twins to the locals back in Jacksonville, NC. But when they talked to other family members were told she's still pregnant and hasn't had the twins yet. My concern is this: it's clear that she's not pregnant, but who's children are these that she's stalking claiming to be her own and what hospital is it. The chidren in the photos need to be protected. She is desperate enough to hold on to her current husband, she may try to take those children.



She needs to be committed and get some mental help.

To the people who reported she is impersonating a USMC officer please, please report her to NCIS, they offer an anonymous tipline.

To the people whom she attempted to con their father out of over 200K please, please report her to North Carolina Dept of Justice, they have a special division for this type of fraud.

There has been a lot of research done on her and she has a record a mile long; she has been reported to the Maryland States Attorneys office for them to search on wants and warrants. She is a fraud, con artist and has the propensity for violence, she needs to be stopped, and I feel that our military families here in Jacksonville, have enough to worry about without being scammed out of their hard earned money. I recently hired her to clean my home for a moveout clean here in jacksonville nc. she did not follow through on completing the job, so i cancelled my check i wrote to her. once she figured this out she contacted me threatening me by saying i would be arested and charged on felony offense for worthless check charges, and she would contact my husbands command (to whom she has never met, nor knew any information about because i never mentioned his first name or his command- so any information she would have obtained about him would have assumably been by illigal means at my previous residence, either by sorting through mail left in the mailbox or by asking my rental office for his info). anyways, to keep her from bothering me, i agreed to pay for some of what she did in the home (she had another female with her who i assumed was related to her by their similarities in features). I have a signed receipt from her with the amount, and she says i will have to pay the person who did my carpets as well.

i am trying to get any and all info about this woman and what exactly is going on here in jacksonville. i have her address, i have been to her home and inside it, i have her current contact info, links to her business advertisements, her business liscence here in jacksonville (which appears that she JUST registered yesterday for) and the name and information of the person she is claiming to use for carpet cleaning. (which was the only thing in the house i was satisfied with)

Well some good news in all of this is, finally the husband Stephen, is now divorced. From a recent court date, and again a no show, the courts allowed this to end for him. Hopefully he finds life after Laura Patterson. 

As a person who has also had first contact with Laura Patterson Long, she needs to be caught. As a person who knows  for a fact the her supposedly deceased husband , he is most definitely alive and well. She has used her tantics on several people, and refuses to return for the divorce hearing, as she is wanted in Maryland. I assure you, this lady (the victim) and her husband are (INNOCENT; YES in a child like manner.) She is very Responsible in caring for not only her husband; but for others dealing with cancer. The Community is grateful for all she does for them over the last 15 yrs. A very Respectable lady and well liked that gives back to the community. Giving to All that need help.

We all have at one time or other; let our guard down but take this to the bank; she becomes more and more Strong Willed and On Guard for such cons as these two sisters in crime and others just waiting to take advantage of good caring people.

We told them no check was written for cash and to call the cops. When the bank refused to cash the check, the woman fled the bank.

Most likely it was someone associated with the hospital who knew 1) her medical condition thinking she'd let her guard down ( sound familiar?? ) 2) had access to her private info to produce a phony check. NEVER LET YOUR GUARD DOWN and if your not sick, be the responsible adult you should be and not turn into a little child.

Incredible that a physician would entrust his office to someone and not conduct a thorough background check. Especially today when its real easy with the internet. There are many background review companies so this guy deserves to lose a bundle to the scam artists. Why you didn't clear up this matter after the first round of no show payments is a mystery to me. Those two women are apparently good at spotting a submissive, mousy type of character. The people in my family would have been plenty vocal about missing payments immediately. That Dr would have been called on the carpet promptly over legal threats of collection.

A refund was returned to the patients from the doctor,correcting the amount due back to them.
All accounts are being updated and followed closely; with new staff. The office is professionally managed now.

In your report you said you showed the office manager copies of the checks you sent. If they were cashed, then the doctor's office has no recourse against you.

It is not your responsibility to determine where the payments are placed. It is not your responsibility or fault that two office managers were possibly skimming money.

Whether the doctor's office likes it or not, they cannot go after you once you show proof of payment and the checks cleared. The doctors will have to go after the two office managers.

If you paid the second payment of $1600, and the office is not willing to reimburse you, then take them to court.

By the way, carbon copies are meaningless, but the cashed checks as shown on your bank statements is the nail in the coffin. Good luck on getting everything resolved.

As many as 5 nurses and staff have left because of her unprofessional behavior last year of 2006.

Two sisters working in an oncology doctors office in Waldorf, Md. in oct. 2006 they asked for a payment from the patient and his wife; or they were going to take them to court. They had given Carolyn Patterson monthly checks all of 2006 from March to Oct. totally over $1,600.When asked why she she wasn't posting to their account.. she just stood there with no answere.

Then in Oct.2006 she hired her sister, as the new office manager; and demanded the patient and his wife make out another check for $1,600. to keep their account from going to court.They showed these two girls/ sisters; carbon copies and bank statements that SHOWED the 2006 yrs checks were deposited to their doctors office. but they wouldnt take that as evidence and still the doctors office records showed the account as being not paid on from any money given to these two girls in 2006.. They said, the doctor knew all about this. In fact;He had no idea what was going on.. He had no idea these girls were hiding money from him and taking patients payments and not posting the payments to the proper accounts.. and taking money for themselves.

These two girls/ sisters amy be embezzling the doctors money and the patients money. He fired both girls just this month 2007. UPDATE;;; DOCTOR HAS REFUNDED MONEY DUE BACK TO the patinet as of MARCH 2007.

Found their names on the Maryland Judiciary Cases on the internet. Both have criminal records. Laura Patterson dob. 7/30/77 and her sister Carolyn Patterson dob 6/23/82. both have disappeared. Presently worried they will try to do this to other doctors offices or businesses in and around MARYLAND.

These two have lived in Frederick, Cumberland, Ridgeley W. Va,Waldorf as of this posting. They need to be found and brought to justice for placing more stress upon a cancer patient and stealing from a wll respected doctor.
