All of the negative reports that I have read on the Rip Off Report regarding the Law Office of Herbert Davis are completely true. Unfortunately, even though I believed I had done my due diligence prior to contracting with this firm, they took me for a ride.
Over the last 9 months, while taking my money, they have talked rudely to my on the phone,they have refused to provide me with any documenation of their correspondence with my creditors, they have lied to me repeatedly and then, when I asked for a refund they offered my a payment of 1/5 of the balance of my account.
The Law Office of Herbert Davis has ruined my credit, my health, my marriage and I will probably end up losing my home because of the promises that were made. Because of their "lack" of communication with my creditors, 100% of my bank account was unexpectedly garnished leaving me with no money for food, gas or bills. I have since received other letters from attorneys representing other creditors and it appears that they too are on the verge of garnishing my salary/bank account. I expect any day now to receive a summons from any one of them.
After getting the "run-a-round" for several months, I finally was able to talk with the "Herb Davis". I asked him when I could expect my refund and his direct response to me was to check back on 10/20/11 as he is waiting for a "loan" to come through to pay back his clients. He was extrememly rude to me and basically hung up on me when Iwas not satisified with his response.
I have been unable to eat or sleep. My kids are very worried about their Mom because I am so stressed and upset all the time. I never imagined in my life I would be in this position. If this report saves at least one person from going through the nightmare that has been my life for the last 9 months, then I will feel as if I did some good.
I also agree with the negative remarks about PDR and The Mack Group. Hopefully, they are under investigation as well. The Mack Group apparently is the firm that sets up and monitors the automatic electronic withdrawls from the client's checking account. The first sign that something wasn't right was when they automatically withdrew funds from my checking account 5 days prior to the agreed upon date. Not knowing the funds were withdrawn early, I continued to pay bills and had just enough money to get by until my next paycheck. This error on their behalf caused me to overdraw my checking account, incur several overdraft/NSF fees and leave me with absolutely no funds whatsoever until my next pay check, The worst part was that the weekend they did this was my daughters birthday and I had no money to buy her a gift or have a party with her friends. I was and am still devestated and that was 9 months ago.
Please stay away from Law Office Herb Davis and the companies they he is affiliated with, PDR and The Mack Group.

Well, all I can say after all this time is thank god Herbert Davis is Disbarred and he will never be able to represent himself as an attorney in order to collect fees upfront. His days are now over and gone, however his partner and con man richard murkey is still running shop and ruining peoples lives. I want the public to know one thing, had it not been for me this two clowns would have still been running their scam continuing to rip off millions of dollars from innocent naive people who were in dire financial trouble. When I worked there for a few months I eventually caught onto their scam and when I tried to tell the bar of the wrong doings of Herbert Davis was doing by ripping them off their answer was "what have you got against this man?" or "What has this man ever done to you?" and the one I loved the most "Well, we don't have enough complaints against him so we can't do anything about it", yes people this is the bar who you pay to protect you against crooked lawyers and that's what they had to say about it all, to be specific, it was Eli Morganstein who told me all this over the phone. I mean really people, what investigator tells you why are you doing this to Herbert Davis for ripping people off? I mean are you fuking serious? Well I made sure I got enough people to complain about it and forced him to eventually take action and I put him on the radar with ripoffreport. Consumers , just know that it was the government who let them get away with it all and not do a damn thing.

To all the victims of Herbert Davis, you might be interested in knowing that he is now losing his house to foreclosure. Apparently he can't or won't pay his mortgage and Chase Bank has begun foreclosure proceedings. This public information is available from the Los Angeles Country Recorder's Office in Norwalk, California.
So here's the question: If Mr. Davis was delinquent in his debt to Chase, why didn't he just send them one of his own fantastic "accord and satisfaction" letters to invalidate it?!

If you feel comfortable paying an excon named Richard Murkey and an attorney who is about to be disbarred named Herbert Davis to settle your debts then be my guest. Richard Murkey has been in prison twice with 5 year sentences just google him and Herbert David, well you can call the bar and ask for the investigator Eli Morganstein he will back up what I have to say.
The company is run mostly by uneducated people who barely hold a high school diploma at best, all they know is to send out a generic letter saying that the client doesn't understand his credit card bill and then after 30 days they will send out a check with a strict endorsement on it settling te account in full, lol what a joke!!! Gee why didn't I think of this brilliant scheme right? They must know something that nobody else does right? In fact what they are doing is called a concept called "Novation" which is adding new terms to your credit card agreement, it does not work!! They also know that it does not work for 99 percent of the time!!! When the credit card companies receive this type of BS on your behalf it red flags you and increases your chances of being sued!! Furthermore, once you get screwed by ther debt program Banktruptcy will not be an option for you and you better understand this!!! All the credit card companies have to prove is that you hired these clowns to settle your debts for 40 percent and you intentionally tried to not pay the credit card companies, as a result your BK will be denied!!!
Now after reading all this that I wrote and you still continue to hire these scammers then you truely are deserving of your outcome. One last note, even if these scammers did make a payment on your behalf that does not mean the credit card companies agreed to settle, the only reason they didn't sue you is because you have nothing to go after and you wasted paying 40 percent to these morons for nothing, however your credit report will show all the negative information regarding your debt and they have up to 4 years to sue you. This company has only been around for 2 years, we have another 2 years left to see how many clients end up getting sued. What makes me even more sick is that the FBI and law enforcement is taking it's sweet time to prosecute these scammers and they are still in business collecting monthly automatic payments from clients, this whole thing stinks!!! Everything I have written here is true, so Rick and Herbert can go f**k themselves, justice is coming soon!!

As A former employee of this company all I can tell you is this, Herb Davis has planned this whole scam from the start. He knew one day or another that the Bar was going to investigate him and that he was going to be forced paying back clients refunds. Herb knew the worst case scenario was that in case he didn't pay back clients their refunds all the bar was going to do was take his attorney license away, he knew this and calculated everything based on this fact. Herb Davis is 70 plus years old and he could care less if the Bar takes away his license because he gets to keep millions of dollars of clients funds, not a bad trade off. This man will not get a loan to pay you back because he has no assets in the United States, he transfered all his money out of the country back in Feb of this year just in case the government froze his assets. I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news but this is the ugly truth regarding your refund. THe only true justice we can get from this crook is if the FBI steps in and makes this case into a criminal complaint, this is the only way we can make Herb Pay. My suggestion, call the Los Angeles District Attorneys office and file your complaint along with the FBI, Eli Morganstein is investigating Herb Davis at the California Bar he can be reached at 213-765-1334. It makes me sick to see this man still free out in the public enjoying peoples money that he stole from them through deception. By the way people, just so you know, Herbert Davis confessed to me stating that his 10 percent Accord and Satisfaction scam was a complete failure and he knew what he was doing just hurt clients in the long run, God pray that law enforcement doesn't use me in a criminal trial against him is all I can say. My heart goes out to all of the clients who have been burned by this predator.
