I had signed up for a free trial of Burn Fat 2 in February of 2006 under the terms that I would only have to pay for the shipping and handling for the product. I never received my so called free trial, but had a 97.41 charge withdrawn from my checking account on March 23, 2006 without my authorization. I had called the company and complained that I did not authorize this charge and that it was illegal to withdraw money from someones account without authorization. The so called customer service representative told me that the terms and conditions stated that you could receive a "free" 7 day trial as long as you also agreed to an additional 2 month supply which was the charge they deducted in March. Mind you I still had not received any product. I insisted on speaking with a manager/supervisor and was unable to get anywhere. I repeatedly told the customer service rep that I want my account cancelled and no other withdraws should be taken out. I then spoke with a representative from my bank and was told I would have to go to the sherriffs office and file a fraudelant report regarding this incident and at that time I could submit a report and the charge would be investigated. Unfortunetly, I had dropped the ball and never followed through with the procedure. On May 25, 2006 I went into my bank statement and found that a charge for 97.41 was withdrawn from my account, I called the 800 number listed on my statement and discovered that it was regarding the Burn Fat 2 once again. I spoke with a representative at the number listed on my statement and was told the location I was calling did not represent the Burn Fat 2 pill, so I verified the address and telephone number with the rep and it was the same. She insisted that the company I was speaking to was not the same yet all the information matched. I again insisted on speaking with a manager/supervisor and was given the run around. The rep finally hung up on me after arguing for about 15 minutes. I started researching the company and found another 800 nummber through this web site and called them. I expressed my displeasure and was very firm about getting my money back. I repeated the entire story as I have here and was told that the information would be passed on to a manager. So I told the representative that I would be contacting the police and the better business bureau. I went over to the bank and told that representative the whole story and was told that I would have to go to the police department and put in a report. After we started the fraudulant claim, she spoke with someone at her corporate office and told her that this is not fraudulant because I willingly gave the company my debit card information. Of course, I got a little upset to say the least. The bank representative called BUrn Fat 2 and got the run around as I did, but did get the person to say I would have my refund in about 3 - 5 business days. Now legally because they made that comment I have to wait the time and see what happens.
I suppose the thing that upsets me the most is that my bank told me that they can not refund my money and I will have to get it from the company who took it out even though I had requested the account closed in March. This is not right, I am a single mom and can not afford 97.41 coming out of my account. I plan on taking this as far as I can and will not stop. It's not about the money right now, it's about what is right and wrong!!!!
