In April of 2006, I registered for a free trial sample of leanlife pm- hoodia pills, in which I only had to pay for the shipping and handling. I read the fine print and it said that if you did not call to cancel within 14 days your account would be billed $99. I called to cancel within 5 days, and luckily I did so because it took me numerous phone calls and unreturned emails before I finally got ahold of a representative to cancel before the 14 day period had expired. I never received another bottle of the leanlife pills and because the $99 charge was not taken my account, I thought that the situation had been taken care of. That was until August, when I checked my bank statement and noticed a charge in the amount of $76.84 had been debited out of my account by leanlife pm. I let my bank know about the unauthorized transaction and asked them to stop any charges from the company. Again, I didn't think there was anymore need for me to worry until I checked my bank account today only to learn another charge in the amount of $74.95 had been taken out of my account by the same company, only under the name leanrx.net. Again, I am going through the process of filing a claim with my bank-- but close to a year after ordering the trial pills and cancelling any further transactions-- I am wondering when this is going to end and how this company is getting away with it.
