In December 2005 we were contacted by Eric Burns, Account Executive for Premier BankCard for a credit card machine for our business. We advised we could get one with our bank and that we did not need one at this moment as our business was bad. He kept on and finally my husband agreed to the machine.

It was brought out the first part of January - he unpacked it and set it up on our desk. We never used it.

We closed our business the end of January, 2006. We have the machine and have been trying to get ahold of someone so that we can return it.

We started getting calls from CIT/Lease Finance Group. As my husband signed the contract they said he is the guarantor and this has nothing to do with the business. I've explained that we never used the machine and will be returning it once we receive an address. They have said it does not matter if the machine is returned that he still owes for the contract and that the contract is non-cancellable. They want to speak to my husband and to obtian a current checking account. Thank goodness we closed the account in January so they cannot draft any charges. Also, I have asked for a copy of the actual lease agreement between Lease Finance/CIT and my husband - they have offered to fax it (we no longer have fax machine) and they have said they would mail a copy. I have requested this 4 times and still have not received it.

March 2006, we finally received confirmation of where to return the machine. We will be shipping this back to them registered with return receipt.

However, the phone calls keep coming. They call 5 - 8 times a day. I have advised that this is harrasing and to please limit the calls to once a day.

I have searched our State laws and have found that they are in violation of the collection calls. I am keeping a record of dates and times of when they call. I would save the calls on our voice mail but have found they are overpowering the services.

I will be making complaints to the BBB and to the State Attorney's office regarding this.

Always been treated fairly

AUTHOR: John Carl - (United States of America)

I have done much business with this company and have always been treated very well.  Have had no problems.   They were always upfront and gave top notch service.

It has been my experience that many a business owner and individual will often say anything to get out of their financial obligations.   Sad that it takes the form of online gossip.
