On my way to an interview and I get lost! Great! My cell phone is dead! Another Great! I pull over to use the payphone and I use my last 50 cents come to find out the person I called was unable to help me. So now I needed to call the company which I was interviewing with. After many attempts of trying to locate the address myself because the map was giving me wrong information. I come to another payphone and decided to use my credit card to make the call. I press "0" and asked if I can make a local phone call, gave her all of my information then I asked how much this is going to cost me, the operator cut me off and put the call thru. NEVER DID I THINK THIS CALL WAS GOING TO COST ME;

Amount #1: $1.00 verified the credit card is good
Amount #2: $20.75 for the call itself.

So now I have two CHARGES on my card from LEGACY LONG DISTANCE.

I call the company to dispute this and the first lady that answered was rude, I asked her to put me thru to the manager. I GOT VOICEMAIL. I LEFT A VOICEMESSAGE letting them know how disapointed I was.

I called again and asked the gentleman how big was the company he works for? I want to know how big this company is and how much profit they are making from these outrageous charges! $21.75 charge for a LOCAL one minute "ONE MINUTE" phone call. It could of been possibly less. I was off by one street to where I needed to go =(

Finally, the man said something that made sense and said we will not get the call details until this friday then you can call us back and we can make and adjustment....

Hopefully I can repost the outcome of this situation. I'm so surprisingly shocked. The most companies like this should charge would be the cost that the call would normally cost (if i had freakng change) .50 plus a small other fee of I dont know Less Then Maybe at the Most $5..dollars thats even a little bit much. But whatever I will pay $5.50 for that phone call, because it was a very important phone call at that. That is a very reasonable amount.

I will send an email out to EVERYONE I know about this. HOPEFULLY this doesn't happen to YOU!!!!
