They usually are dropped off in local communities by large rental vans and they are promoting magazine subcriptions. Slogan- "Sponsor a student help them pay his way through college, or higher education, or "Help a innercity youth achieve their dream." You are standing there thinking "starving student", give the kid a break. You get an opportunity to choose all types of magazine subscriptions. Looks credible, WRONG!!! So, they solicite other ways. Great gift idea for a family relative or friend, WRONG!!! BOTTOMLINE- Once you write that check or god forbid you hand them your credit card. DON"T DO IT. You never see a subscription in your entire life.
