I purchase a 3 disc dvd box set from an Amazon U.K marketplace seller called Legacy Magazines.It arrived in a reasonable amount of time but it took me a few weeks to get around to start watching the program.When I went to play the second disc the picture constantly froze until eventually it would return to the start and repeat the process.I contacted the seller who told me to send them back the box set at my expense so they could examine it.I live in Australia and they are in the U.K so the cost would have been around $10.I refused to pay it and lodged a complaint with Amazon U.K.A customer service rep contacted me and told me that they fully supported me and that I was entitled to a refund within 3 days.They added that they had filled out an Amazon A-Z claim form on my behalf.Shortly after I received an email from legacy magazines saying that they were trying to find a replacement disc for me.I then heard nothing else for 4 days.I complained again to Amazon and the assured me that my claim was being processed.Again I was contacted by Legacy magazines who this time wanted me to send the faulty disc to a post office box address in Australia.I wrote back to them and said that I would not spend another cent on the item and that I wanted a refund promptly.Again I contacted Amazon to tell them what had happened and again they said that my claim would be completed shortly and I would get a refund.That was followed by an email from an Amazon supervisor who said that my claim had been declined because I took to long to lodge it.Apparently Iwas 3 days over there expiry date.I appealed their decision and told them that I had spent over $20,000 with Amazon over 12 years and that if I didn't get my refund I would close my account down.They replied that rules are rules and my claim is denied so I no longer shop at Amazon at all and I have closed my account.I am also stuck with a 3disc box set that I can only watch the 1st and 3rd discs which really ruins the whole program.I would Advise anyone to avoid dealing with Legacy Magazines and carefully check Amazons A-Z policy.
