Legal Successor of Hollywood Video/Movie Gallery Inc. Universal Fidelity, LP False billing, fraudulent billing, billing for goods and services not received Houston, Texas

Several summers ago, I had a seasonal monthly subscription for the Hollywood Movies near my home, so that my children could rent movies. Hollywood discontinued the subscription, and a few months later went out of business. We had long since returned all movies rented from them and, as it was a monthly subscription, had no additional fees.

Today I received a bill from this company, claiming that I owe them for four movies rented from Hollywood... I am presuming that they are the last four movies we rented. However, the movies were returned to the video store and we had no outstanding balance.

It is my gut feeling that this "bill" is nothing but a scam and that they are hoping that the unwary will pay it in the mistaken belief that somehow, they forgot to return the movies.
