The first issues we had with the merchant were their breach of refunding the total sale of $6,160.60 as they had agreed to do. The next issue we had with the merchant was their unscheduled visits. I have several messages on my answering machine from Chris stating that hes outside my gate and is here to install the light. On December 3, 2007 he did the same thing only this time we were home, but it was after 5:00 PM, at which time its dark. At this point in time, it was more than 30 days past the 80% refunded immediately. In reply to the paragraph which states The customer wants to cancel the order which is not possible as it is a custom order, I would like to say the following. The 8oz Prime Rib is a regularly stocked and sold item with NO custom designs, dimensions, colors, components or the like. As you can see in the Build Sheet which I faxed as well, the specifications are completely the same with the components selected to make it the same as the barbeque they had on display, absolutely nothing custom about it.
As far as the bar stools are concerned, we were having family and friends here for thanksgiving, and we had yet received any confirmation from Leisure Living regarding the bar stools, so we purchase them somewhere else. We have brought that to their attention numerous times, to no avail. Cheryl from customer service has left messages on my answering machine and cell phone numerous times, to schedule delivery for the bar stools. The number of calls bordered on harassment. I had personally (11/23/2007) talked to her and told her the circumstances that we already purchased other bar stools.
Mike Sylvia contacted us on 12/3/2007 and we made him aware of our intent to cancel. He said we would be receiving a call from Jon Birlingham in regards to the cancellation. Never happened.
We received a call from Jared Berry on 1/14/2008 which he was made aware of our intent to cancel. He asked us to email him our original complaint and that we would have an answer within 72 hours (see copy emailed to him). Never happened. We emailed him again on 2/4/2008 (see copy emailed to him) regarding the status. No reply.
The week of March 3, 2008 we had a Leisure Living truck outside our gate. We thought they were here to pick the BBQ up. To our surprise, they were here to deliver the bar stools which we had cancelled three months ago.
This company lacks integrity, trust, communication, honesty, quality.
We do not want their product.
