IBM wants to charge me S$1500 to repair the laptop. Even though their advertisement claims that the keyboard is spill resistant, they will not repair it for free even though the laptop is still under guarantee.
I will never buy a lenovo product again.

The warranty is for manufacturers defects such as bad system boards or hard drives. It does not cover accidents or abuse. Spilling coffee in the keyboard is not a manufacturers defect, it is clearly abuse.
Spill resistant keyboard does not mean spill proof.
No one is going to warranty a notebook computer for dousing the keyboard in coffee. You need to use some common sense when using a computer and take responsibility for own actions.
Lenovo computers are excellent and are very tough, just not indestructible.
