I called this facility for a quote on winter tire chains. The price I was quoted was almost double of what could be found at truckstops, roadside facilities etc. (These places are not known for there competitive pricing). I called two more Les Schwab facilities in Reno and got the same quotes. I understand suppy and demand. However this place goes beyond that. Do yourself and your wallet a favor and stay away from Les Schwab for tire chains.

You may have found lesser expensive chains elswhere. But were you comparing the same type of chain? We sell numerous sets ranging from regular cables to our quick fit style chains. Prices vary depending on the type of chain. Also, what warranty are you going to get from another store? Chains purchased from Les Schwab can be returned in the spring for a full refund as long as you don't use them. Can you do that with walmart? If there is a flaw in your chains will walmart or the other places warranty them? Probably not.
