I have been a loyal customer to this company for about 12 years, I went in with the intent of buying brand new tires, I got it all set up to get only 2 tires because they are so expensive, I maintain my car regularly, when I got it back everything felt great until I got on the freeway and when I hit 70 miles an hour the steering started to shake so I took it back and Jacob, the store manager said "well maybe it's just a balancing issue so they took it back in the shop and did there thing gave it back and I got back on the freeway and it was worse then before
so I took it back and this time he says " well, hmmm he took my car again and this time gave it back with a questionable look on his face saying " drive it now and tell me what you think, I think it's worse then before" so I took it to the Cd'a Store and asked them to look at it 5 hours later they finally got to my car when I got it back Lance says " well it looks like you have bend wheels" I asked him to put it on paper how it could of happened and he says exact words " most stores don't have the proper machine to remove them with out bending them and if you don't no what your doing they will bend"
so now I am furious so I go back to the store and inform them of the problem and the guy Trent, takes it for a ride and them pulls it in the shop and comes back out after taking tires off and says " looks like you have 3 bent wheels ". So we explained that I park the car during the winter and drive another vehicle so this could not be from winter driving, I asked Jacob why he didn't put it on the invoice to cover his own ass and he didn't answer me as to why, but says he would go ahead and have them straightened to make me happy.
I left and called the headquarters and spoke with a guy named Mike Duke, after listening to my problem he says " I will call the store and get this resolved" which was a lie I never got a call back from him. Finally my brother calls Mike and he says his employee firmly believes they did not bend them and all they could do is pay to have them straightened basically saying "I'm burnt".

Holy Moly! I haven't seen one of those in 20 years. I don't even know of a shop that has used one in that long.
Rimclamp machines are the norm, and have been since the early 1980's.
BTW...Rimclamp tire machines were created to prevent bent rims. Hmmmm.

It is not the tire machine's fault for bending your wheels. Depending on your car, you probably have steel wheels. All it takes to bend one of those wheels is just hitting a pothole too fast or maybe hitting a curb. Steel wheels don't last forever. The same goes for aluminum wheels as well. It is actually easier to bend those on the road than the steel ones. So don't blame it on the tire company. Nothing on that car is made to last forever. And as for Lance telling you that most stores don't have the right machines to remove tires from the wheels, he is completely wrong. Every Les Schwab store has the proper machine to do the work. Unless you have an oversized wheel or some type of expensive aftermarket wheels, the centerpost machine works just fine with no damage to the wheel.
