I called the local Les Schwab store looking for tire chains for my truck. I was told they had two pair that would fit one that was heavier duty and would be better for a pickup. I said that I would like the heavier duty set and would be to the store after the school bus came that afternoon. They took my name and phone number and said they would set them aside for me. After the bus dropped off the boys from school we went to the store, I waited my turn, and told them why we were there. They asked my name and found the info on their computer, took my money and gave me my receipt. (Stupid me should have seen the chains first.) Then the fun started, a number of people looked for the chains. I told them at this time if they didn't have them I wanted my money back. At this time one of the employees was on their computer and wanted to know when I needed them by and again I stated that I wanted my money back. He told me that there were not any in the area but he wouldn't charge me for freight to ship them in. I again said I wanted my money back as he did not have the chains and we started the when do you need them and I will not charge you for freight (shipping) all over again. I did get my money but it took a little bit. If I had just walked in off the street and they did not have the chains it would have not been a problem, but after confirming they had them and driving down there (not just around the corner) I find it unacceptable and their fix just as bad.
