A Liberty Mutual customer hit my car in September of this year. She ran a stoplight and was cited by the police department. Her insurance company settled my total loss auto claim quickly and easily enough, but I was injured in the accident.

I broke my left wrist very badly and it required surgery. I have been out of work for two months and have been working with an insurance adjuster to get lost wages. The first check came fairly quickly. The next check which the adjuster said she sent off on a Monday did not come by the following Monday, so I called to see what the hold up was. Her exact words were, "Oh, I forgot to send it here it is!"

I was quite perturbed. I had been a month without wages at this point and my bills were overdue. I let this go, however, because things had been going so smoothly.

After that incident, she has been so rude to me. I work at a different insurance company and have a very good phone voice and am automatically very nice to people on the phone since I, too, work at a call center. I voiced my concerns about the stress I was under and how it affected my clinical depression and she told me that wasn't a valid concern and the insurance company didn't deal with things like depression.

Today, I found out that my final lost wages check (with which I have to pay all the copays for my numerous doctor's appointments and my health insurance policy) was sent to the wrong address. I don't know how I will pay my bills and now the check has been sent back to her...it might be another week before I get the check.

I am very angry and have left her numerous messages...I have not received a call back yet. I will be calling an attorney tomorrow morning if the adjuster cannot overnight my lost wages check. This has been an unnecessarily stressful time for me because of Liberty Mutual.
