I applied online to many jobs. Liberty National Life called me for an interview (they also go by CF Ins. perhaps to cover up their bad rep) They want applicants to pay $50 for an insurance certificate online without even giving you the description and compensation of the job first. They try to get you to pay $50 to get insurance certificate first then they inform you the job is commision pay only. The Branch manager offered me the job on the spot without an interview and told me I need to get certified without telling me anything about the job.
He said he did not have time to explain and told me to call him. When I called him a few hours later, he was not available. I left my name and phone number for him to return my call about the details of the job. He never called to give me details. I would not pay $50 for the cert without knowing the details of pay and job. Two days later, the company claimed they filled the position. Truth is, they appear to be very desparate for sales agent because the branch manager hired me on the spot without an interview outside on the sidewalk. We never entered the office. If people were interested in working for this pathetic company, they could be selective in their hiring.
After experiencing their unprofessionalizm, I went on the internet and I read on many website about them that they cheat sales agents out of their commission and are considered scams. They do not pay wages. I do not trust their claim in the money they make and tell you you will make. They have such a bad reputation on many websites. I feel the branch manager is very munipulative. That was very slick what he tried to pull. I did not fall for that. The only thing I lost dealing with Liberty National Life was time and gas wasted on driving to this pathetic company.
