I went to Liberty to have my taxes done. I applied for the RAL refund loan and was told if approved i could possible get two checks. One withing 24 to 48 hours, the other in 8-15 days. If not approved i would get the whole amount in the 15 day, for a greater value if i wansn't appproved for the RAL. I called the store, in three days when i did not hear from them. I was told no problem, you don't have a check so it must not of benn aproved. OK, i waited and 13 day later i got a call that my check was there. I went to pick it up and they handed me a small check and i looked at it and laughed, i asked wheres the rest of the $$$. She looked at me and said well you already picked up the first check!

After catching my breath, i told her i  haden't picked up anything. She looked in the computer and said well it was printed the day after you were here. I looked at her and asked well then where is it, because I called and asked and i was told there was no problem. 
She said there was nothing she do but reasearch the problem. I looked at her shocked and  said to get someone on the phone who knows how to fix this. She called a supervisor who said all thay could do was research what happen and thay had no idea how long it would be before they could get me a check.

I left pissed off, and waited, two days later, a call said they had my check, i went to pick it up, and it was two checks for the oroginal amounts. I explained that i should have to pay for the RAL since they screwed it up and i had to wait. I said i wanted my filing fee back too since I was not happy. I was told i would get a refund of the fee but not the RAL fee. I have been waiting over a month, for that, and i have been given the run around from the office and when i called corporate, thay said it was individually owned and all thay could do was let the owner know.  I have had to make all the phone calls and i never hear from then unless i call.  I'm not holding my breath, waiting for the refund check!

Liberty Corporate was no help to me

Thank you Kim,

I have called the corporate office. All they did was tell me that it was a localy owned franchise, and that they would call the owner and let him know of the situation. I was told i would get a phone call in 24 to 48 hours.  Well once again, no one called, I have also let corpote know via email, i was given the same responce that it was a localy owned office.

So basicaly they let the franchise owners do as they please, and so on, it's been over a month now that i have been waiting for my refund, and now ever time i call the office the person I am suposed to talk to is amasingly not there to day, and I  hvae been given the wrong schedual for this person 3 times now.  They screwed up, and didn't expect to have to stand by the guarantee plastered on the wall, well I wont give up their acountable for the shotty work.
