I have been Liberty Wireless since I received an offer from them in 2004 for a cell phone. I got on the no-contract plan for 1000 minutes per month for $39.99. I sent Liberty authorization to deduct said amount each month. Up until a few months ago, they would automatically take out the payment along with a transfer fee which brought my total up to $47.20 a month. Whenever they were going to take the money out, they would send a voicemail 5 days prior to taking the money out. I never had any problems until recently.

In March of this year, I noticed that my bill would go from $47.20 to almost $50.00 with no explanation from Liberty. Customer service wasn't any help. But I just figure it was just a late fee (the money was deducted after the 5th day).

On August 16, 2007 I was trying to make a call to my daughter when I got this recording "Please enter your 10 digit number". I had not received a message like this before and I thought I had misdialed. But once again the recording came on. When I got home, I called my cell phone and the message "The PCS telephone number you have dialed is temporry out of service. Message 371-3". I tried it again, same message.

So I contacted Customer Service and went through the automated numbers. The "CS" told me that I had "used up all my minutes for this month". There is no way I could have used up 1000 minutes! I have never used more than 2 hours on the phone because I only use it for emergencies!

Now mind you these are the same 1000 minutes I've had since 2004 and I have never ever used up 17 hours of phone time since I've had the phone. I could understand if they said they had not received a payment from me and that is why my service has been interrupted but to say that I have used up all my minutes for this month is a downright lie!

My billing date went from the 21st of each month to the 14th of the month without any notification. My last payment was July 17th and they received it July 20th.

I have informed my bank to stop authorization of payment to Liberty until this matter is settled. At this time I am seeking another wireless service of an honest and reputable character.
