Lightingcatalog.com Return policy is a scam. Shame on this company! Racine, Wisconsin

This company claims to have a return policy but it's actually a scam as it is almost impossible to return anything. Items are only returnable if they have never been opened and removed from the box. How are you supposed to know if it will fit you needs if you can't see it? I bought a chandelier and took it out. The finish wasn't what I expected. It is almost impossible to get it back onto the box the way it was shipped. Therefore it is not returnable. I was stuck with the chandelier and had to spend money to get it refinished.

Also, if you place your order and decide the next day that you want to cancel it you will get charged a hefty restocking fee, even if the product has not been shipped! The chandelier I ordered was backordered and would not ship for two more weeks. They still threatened to charge a restocking fee even though they would never take physical possession of it! It was to be shipped directly from the manufactured to me. How can they charge to restock something when they don't even have it?

I would not recommend doing business with this company.
