Linebarger Goggan Blair & Sampson, LLP is the law firm contracted by the state to collect E-470 Express Toll fees. They do not send a timely bill, when they send a bill they have already added a late fee. If you call them to dispute the fee they ask you for a "registration number" which they insist is on the statement. When you advise them the only numbers listed are a Statement ID number or a Notice ID # they claim they cannot find the account with either number. Then they insist on the "registration number" again. This number still does not assist them in locating your account, so you give them your address. Lo, and behold! The address does not work either. Now even though I am looking at a bill which now states I owe $114.30, they claim not to be able to find the account. Please do not think that is the end of the matter. Since they cannot find the account, you cannot argue fraudulent charges. If you do not submit a payment to Expresstoll.com you will have more charges added to your account. But you cannot dispute anything because Linebarger, et al cannot find your account. So you give up? Yes, and then you receive another bill with even more late fees and threats suggesting if you do not pay, you will not be able to register your vehicle when it comes up for renewal. So, in disgust and frustration, you pay. What a rip off!!!
