i just wanted to reply and give my experience.

Link assistant is a great tool and i use it daily. I currently have the enterprise edition.

it clearly says on the site that you get a full life time licence which included feature updates with FREE 6 MONTHS subscription to the algorithm updates.

once the 6 months is up you have a choice to pay for another 6 months to a year for the algorithm updates. your software will not stop working if you dont purchase it. so for people reading this....heres the facts

1. it is a life time features, bugs and new version licence, meaning you get updates to the software and bug fixes for free for life.

2. the algorithm updates is free for only 6 months and then you pay yearly or 6 monthly.

in my opinion this is very fair. so for all the people saying link assistant is a rip off, it's not. people should learn to read properly and understand what they are paying for.

using an analogy, if you buy a car with say 6 months free service, the car isn't going to not work if you choose not to service it after 6 months is up is it? same thing here......the software you buy is for life, the algorithm updates is a choice........

Paul did not lie since I am also a victim.  It is very deceitful. Link-assistant.com should clearly indicate their product as "6-month license".  It truly is 6 month license, not so called "life-time license". 

One additional note, I personally do not think it is professional for link-assistant.com to call Paul a liar telling lies in public. There may be miscommunications here and there. However, all things considered, Paul does have a very valid complaint. As a company, link-assistant.com should take this seriously and actions should be taken. Change the misleading marketing practice and offer a true "life time license" to the disappointed customers or offer a refund.

Paul, I understand that you feel dissatisfied because you missed some important info on our website.

However some of your statements are not true. Let me explain.

 No, you will never even find that page if you click on "Order" links of the web site or on big green "Order Now" buttons."

In fact, the page with Live! Plan prices is linked-to from nearly every page of our website, including the homepage www.link-assistant.com. Please check the website. There is a link with the anchor "Software prices".

Furthermore, the information about Live! Plans IS provided on all "Order" pages. Please check any of the order pages and you will see that.

Just like I said, I am sorry that you missed this info, but I do not think that it is fair to blame our company for this. The info IS on our website and is easily accessible. More to that, for people familiar with SEO it is a common fact that SEO software required paid updates like the ones called Live! Plan. So the issue results from your not knowing the specifics of the industry + your not reading the information on the website carefully.

2) You write: "Thus, if you are purchasing their "Live! Plan for the full SEO

You are saying that you have purchased SEO PowerSuite for $250. Which makes it obvious that you own a Professional version of SEO PowerSuite. Not please check the page with prices again:

You will see that Live! Plan for SEO PowerSuite Professional for one year costs $124.95 

It is not even close to $299.95 you are writing about.

I understand that you don't wish to pay any more for your SEO software, but I do not think this is a fair exaggeration when you nearly triple the price. For a person who is familiar with our company, this is an exaggeration ok but for a new personm this is a misleading piece of information which is not true. Are we here to lie about the companies we do not like?

We've got over 200 thousand satisfied clients who understand that good SEO software needs these paid updates like a car needs gas. I see that you agree that the software is of good quality. But unfortunately, it is a problem for all SEO software providers, including our direct competitors: too many people still refuse to understand that with SEO software, you need to pay for quality continuously. It is not a one-time payment like a Windows license. It's more like an anti-virus software that also needs constant updates.

And, once again - the links you haven't noticed have been on the website for years, so I wonder if you would please stop lying about this in public.
