A Lipozene infomercial TV offer promised a 30 day free trial for 29.95 if you called within 10 minutes you qualified for an additinal bottle of Lipozene plus Metabo Up. The entire order taken was via voice mail.  My credit card was the first item requested prior to asking what item I wanted to purchase Lipozene or some other item they were promoting. Upon taking my name/address/email/phone I was told I qualified for various restaurant & movie discounts. I declined.

Then I was told I qualified for a Walmart discount card if I purchased various magazines, I was not given a choice.  I was told to choose a magazine or choose to decline the free trial. I attempted to declin e the free trial at which time the discount card for Walmart was increased and various magazine titles listed being told to press "1" for the title of the magazines I wanted and my credit card would be charged a special introductory rate.  My daughter got suckered by a similar situation and I already knew you can not "unsubscribe" to the magazines because they are ordered thru a 3rd party subscription.

At the end of the special introductory rate you are atomatically resubscribed for a year for each magazine at full price, again you can not unsubscribe so when each title was listed and I was requested to press "1" if I wanted the magazine I did not press anything.

During the entire process when I realized what was going on and that they just wanted my credit card I repeatedly asked for Customer Service, Representative, Operator when asked a question.  The voice mail just continued on as if I provided the answer they wanted.  At this point I knew that in one years time I'd be paying over $50 for Lipozene, who knows how much for the special discounted movie and restaurant vouchers,  plus by the way I was told I ordered all the magazines listed so 8 magazines ranging in price from $19 a year to $30 a year.  Now I know I'm in big trouble.

I WASNT EVEN CLOSE! Next I was congratulated and told I qualified for a trip to 2 to some type of trip to the Caribbean or Bahamas - at this point my brain imploded so I'm not sure where they told me I was going as they described the wonderful attributes of the location.

I immediately hung up.

The next day I attempted to contact Lipozene Customer service number given to me "any time I wish to cancel my order" the phone number was no longer listed.  I went to the Lipozene web site and called their customer service number but all you get when you call are their hours of operation, nor does the Lipozene web site provide any other contact information.

Needless to say the next day I had to call my bank to change my debit card number.  Now I have to fill out vouchers when charges come in (so many of which I have no idea) to inform the bank they were obtained via fraud.

I tried to file a complaint against Lipozene with the better buisness bureau but in addition to Lipozene there are various research Institutes associated with Lipozene.  Where do you file?  Nevada? Colorado? Who is responsible.

The buck stops somewhere.....  and evidently it stops with the Obesity Research Institute LLC owned by West Corporation CEO Thomas B. Barker 1315 Financial Blvd Reno Nevada 89502.  When I called Lipozene and reached a mega phone center they told me the return address for Lipozene is 4910 Longley Lane Ste 101, Reno NV 89502

 Sir

I can understand your frustration in dealing with this issue. However, the remedy you have already done. Why would you ATTEMPT to conscript the members of this website into what is in essence commercial terrorism.

Your first mistake was ordering ANYTHING off of TV. Even you had to know that anything ordered off the TV is going to have issues. Your second mistake was giving them your card number. A rule of thumb is to only give your information to a LIVE rep. Make sure to get their operator number when you do. Lastly, Your best course of action is to send a registered letter that has to be signed for explaining your situation to the seller of the product. This way when you have to dispute the subscriptions, you shouldnt be sent to collections.

You can also contact the AG of Nevada. You might get lucky and get a investigation going on the selling practices of this company. Do this the right way and you win. Do this the way you are going, and it will simply show you to be less of a consumer and more of a internet bully. Life gives us lemons, sometimes we make lemonaid, sometimes its used in fish. Point is, work within the system, dont try and get others to do your dirty work. Thats the cowards way of handeling the problem.
