I signed up for 30 day free trial, and called to cancel further dleiveries. No one told me I was also buying into a "companion" service that would 1) cost me an additional $19.95 per month, and that I would have to make a separate call to cancel that service! It was promoted as if the Living Lean support service was part of the tea purchase not a separate purchase. I never wanted it fro mthe beginning, never used it, and never knew I was opening myself up to a monthly fee for it.
Even if I had. Any reasonable person would believe that if I cancel the tea that the service was designed to go hand in hand with, that I would also be canceling the living lean service. Why did the tea rep not say miss is it your intention to cancel the Linging Lean serivice as well? Do you realize and accept that this is billed as a separate fee of $19.95 monthly and that charge will continue? If you wish to cancel that service you will need to call XXXX? NO, THEY NEVER MADE IT CLEAR, BECAUSE THEY HOPED YOU WOULD NEVER CATCH ON AND WOULD NEVER FIGHT IT! SLEAZE DOGS TO DO BUSINESS THIS WAY!
Fight it! Demand a "full" refund no matter how long its been. Yes, you ought to check your statements regularly. But if you haven't been, they are still at fault for sleazy deceitful selling practices and placing charges on your bill that ought not have ever been charged in the first place, and certainly not after you cancelled your tea service if and when you did. You may not get it all but you will get more of a refund with a fight than without trying.
Please try to remember the company is the sleaze not the service rep.
I am going to start sending checks instead of credit cards, or using the card and then canceling the card if and when I cancel the purchase or renewal. This happens far too often, even when you refuse add-ons, and recurring shipments up front, they still too often take advantage of having access to your credit card thinking you will never check, and will give up fighting for your refund.

Please be advised to record your purchase calls, keep transcripts of your online chat purchase negotiations, and copies of the website page including its terms and conditions, advertisments, and contact info that you bought from. I you end up in court, or to put teeth into your refund negotiations you will need this.
