5/24/14 = order date for charlotte sofa & loveseat.  Total furniture bought = $6,459.82 with free delivery.

5/31/14 = delivery of original charlotte sofa and loveseat.  Sofa was damaged and looked like it had been dragged across the street; was unacceptable & was returned to seller same day.  Seller promised to give replacement sofa within 2 weeks

6/8/14 = Went to store to buy more furniture & follow up on replacement sofa.  Was told that sofa was discontinued and to choose another couch.  Seller tried to sell the floor model sofa of the same model, but this too was unacceptable, with an un-removable & visible stain on it.  Seller then clarified that only the fabric of the original sofa was discontinued, but that the frame was still available.  Seller then compensated me by giving a new sofa and loveseat of the same model with a different fabric at no extra cost and including free delivery.  Seller also gave a $100 gift card as compensation.  Seller promised that this custom-made couch would be made and delivered within 2-4 wks.

6/10/14 = Received a phone message stating that the fabric I chose from their available fabrics was currently out of stock and would not be re-stocked until mid July.

Mid July = I called Customer Service to follow-up on couch; they told me the fabric was still out of stock would not be available until the end of July or early Aug.

End of July/early Aug. = I call Customer Service to follow-up on the couch.  They told me it was done and just sitting in the truck, waiting to be unloaded.  When asked when or why it has not been unloaded yet, they said that they could not tell me because the people they were trying to get the info from were not answering the phone or were unavailable.  The next day, I called again and got the same response:  no answers and the people who had the info were unavailable.

8/7/14 = I again call Customer Service because they did not follow-up with me or give any updates on the status of my special order couch.  I was told at this time that they had misinformed me and the couch was in fact NOT done and the fabric was still out of stock and would be another 2 weeks until it would be available.  No explanation was given on why I was misinformed or what actually happened.

8/8/14 = I call and email Customer Service asking if they could get the same fabric from a different vendor, since the current vendor keeps taking more than 2 weeks to get the fabric. Customer Service said they would follow-up on it with the Customer Service Manager DeLeon, but after that, nothing happened and no response was given to my email.

8/20/14 = I again call Customer service and was told by Chris (assistant manager?) that they had received the fabric from the vendor and the couch would soon be made and that they would call me when it was done and ready for delivery.

8/30/14 = I still had not heard from Customer Service and still had not received my couch and loveseat.  I went to the La Mirada store to follow-up, but no one at customer service there could answer my questions or figure out if the couch and loveseat were done yet, saying that, due to the holiday, no one was there to answer these questions.  I also called Customer Service again and asked if there were any updates and was told that the special order purchase was still pending and there was no other information to give.  In the store, the couch & loveseat model is no long on the floor and the Living Spaces staff said that that model has been discontinued.

8/31/14 = I email Customer Service and asked for a written promise from the vendor on when the fabric would be available and again asked to be given any updates.  I also asked if the couch and loveseat are even still available, as I had noticed it was currently discontinued.  I was given no reassurances from Customer Service if my couch model was still available.  Customer Service later responded that per Special Orders group, the fabric was due to arrive on 8/20/14, but it was unclear if the fabric was actually received or not.  Customer Service promised to follow-up on 9/2/14 to see if the vendor had received the fabric and started making the special order sofa & loveseat.

9/2/14 = no updates from Customer Service on the status of the sofa & loveseat.  I still do not have these pieces of furniture.  It has been 3 MONTHS since I made this special order.  I have been MORE than patient in waiting for this sofa & loveseat to materialize.  It is unacceptable to keep me hanging on the promise of “two more weeks” when it has been 3 MONTHS and still there is no sign of when I can receive these 2 pieces of furniture.
